Bouganville man on trial for sex with minor

THE district court in Buka has committed a man to stand trial in the National Court on three counts of sexual penetration of a minor.
Peter Nangoe of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville is facing three counts of sexual penetration under the Sexual Offences and Crimes Against Children Act.
The court heard that the first incident occurred last January at Vavupe, Suir when he allegedly forced a girl under 12 years to touch his private parts. 
Magistrate Bruce Tasikul said there was enough evidence to commit the case to the higher court. Police presented in court statements from witnesses, the girl, her mother and a medical report from the doctor.
“The incidents occurred when the two were alone and no one knew about this. However, the victim reported the matter to her mother after she felt very sick which resulted in the defendant being arrested and charged,” Tasikul said. The National
