Beheading man on trial

A MAN accused of beheading his three-year-old stepbrother in Western Highlands last June will face a trial in the National Court.
The Committal Court in Mt Hagen ruled on Oct 30 that Bakri Petrus Kerua, of Kamaka village, in Tambul district, had a case to answer and committed him for trial.
He faces a murder charge.
It is alleged that Kerua had used a bush knife to cut off the head of his step-brother at his Kamaka village.
He later allegedly threw the head into a bush and displayed the body.
