Wholesale store robbed in PNG

FIVE armed men stormed into a shop in Port Moresby on Monday afternoon and stole K15,000, police say.
Deputy Police Commissioner Simon Kauba said the robbery happened at about 4.30pm at the Gordon’s Wholesale shop in the National Capital District.
He said the five men carrying guns  went into the shop and ordered all customers and workers to lie with their faces down on the floor.
“The suspects then tried to gain access to the main office but were unsuccessful,” he said.
“So they robbed the cashier and escaped with K15,000 in a waiting vehicle.”
Kauba said no arrests had been made so far and police investigation was continuing.
In a separate incident, a motorist was held up and robbed at about 5.47pm at the Gerehu Stage One roundabout.
Kauba said the driver was stopped by a man standing in the middle of the road and pointing a gun at him.
He reversed the vehicle but was stopped by four men who appeared from the side and broke the window and ordered the driver out. The men drove away in the vehicle.
