A man was arrested, charged and convicted of child exploitation related charges after he was caught advertising a little child for prostitution on Craigslist, according to court proceedings in Idaho.
Now, U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson announced that Jason Lloyd Schaber, 40, of Boise, was sentenced in the District Court of the United States to 30 years in prison, followed by supervised release for life after he pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of children by producing and distributing child pornography.
According to the plea agreement, Schaber’s criminal investigation began last year, after Boise police were contacted by a person, who saw a Craigslist advertisement offering a 3-year-old for prostitution. The investigators worked with Craigslist and Google to trace the announcement to Schaber. Boise Police obtained a warrant to search the house of Schaber where authorities found child pornography.

Schaber has been in custody since his arrest.
"Schaber is well worth the long sentence the court imposed," Olson said.
