Chief Commander of the New Caledonia Armed Forces, Brigadier General Luc De Revel, will be on a three day visit in Port Moresby starting today.
His visit will also include a port visit by their France Navy Ship Frigate Vendémiaire scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning at the main wharf in Port Moresby.
Vendémiaire is the fifth unit of a series of six surveillance frigates of the French navy. It is designed to carry out surveillance and humanitarian missions far away from its mainland.
Brigadier Luc De Revel’s visit to Port Moresby is to meet up with Papua New Guinea’s senior defence officers and leaders to strengthen defence relations through the ongoing training between the two countries and also to discuss further defence bilateral relations with PNG.
